Problems with DLC.

I uninstalled TS4 a while back and reinstalled it today. It works fine, all DLCs work perfectly, except for one. There was once an offer for 'My First Pet,' which was free. I don't own 'Cats & Dogs' and that wasn't a problem (was using the DLC only for Build Mode). When I open my game, it tells me to install the DLC to play my world. I don't want to start a new one, nor load it, removing DLC-related content, as I don't know what it is or where it was. On Steam, all DLCs that I own are installed, so that means that the DLC is on EA. On EA, it says Installed, but in the game, it doesn't. Does anyone know how to solve this? If I have to buy the DLC, that's odd, as I have 'Romantic Garden' the same way, and it works. Just this one doesn't. It appears in the library, and it's installed, but my game doesn't pick it up.

  • catalinrus_2023  The issue here is that you have a second install of Sims 4, through the EA App, and that install is the one that includes MFPS.  That install is here:

    C:\Program Files\EA Games\The Sims 4

while your Steam install is here:

    A:\Steam\steamapps\common\The Sims 4

and does not have the folder for MFPS inside it.  (The Delta folder contains patch data, not the pack itself.)  So you'll need to remove the EA App install.  You may be able to do so through the App, under Sims 4 > Manage, without affecting your Steam install.  But if not, you'll need to remove both and reinstall the game only through Steam, then download MFPS but NOT a second copy of the base game through the EA App.  Please see the "I have a Steam install" section of this post for further help:

  • catalinrus_2023  Please run a search for the folder for My First Pet Stuff.  Open a File Explorer window, click This PC in the left panel, and enter SP14 in the search field in the upper-right corner.  Wait for the search to finish, which may take a few minutes; it will find at least one result.  When it's done, expand the window sideways so you can see the entire file path to each result, then use Windows key-shift-S to take a screenshot, and post it here.
