- @ryoosan So did I. I think it is just the issue with the server. It can't cope, I don't know why EA thought it was a good Idea to release it to the entire world at the same time!

@janyses no, I redeemed my code from amazon and did not get a download error
I see EA gave us a quick post about notifying us as they get updates. But the update we need is an ETA for when we can download this add-on. I'm going on an hour trying to download this thing :disappointed:

- janyses3 years agoSeasoned Ace@agcandodc Amazon is a trusted third party seller. It may be that EA is blocking the rest of us who did not use the recommended sellers.
I think it's just better to wait a couple of hours until this is fixed. It seems a lot of people just cannot download the game right now.

no way they have the nerve to post a tweet about the pack right now to go buy it when we cant even get the option to download it lol

It's a shame it couldn't of been downloaded a little earlier for those who pre purchase, as a little 'thank you '
I actually swore that around 12pm, I saw the app mention something about a 'pre-load' option so that it's ready at launch. But when I tried to investigate, I couldn't find anything???
I agree, so many other places allow pre-orders to prelaod! My game is saying that I own it on the main screen, but in cas and stuff it says I don't xc
- bellalala933 years agoSeasoned Traveler@Phlutterby It is crap, I didn't pre order it myself but I think it's unfair that they encourage people to pre order it and they get absolutely nothing for doing so. Like you literally get the bonus things if you buy it up to the end of April, you don't get anything by pre ordering and it's totally not fair to those who do
I am on Twitter and people are posting on TheSims lol all the same... everyone is complaining about EA and the inability to download this add-on.

I bought my copy of the new EP 2 weeks ago pre order direct from the EA App. Nothing illegal at all there. And still couldn't do anything sims related less then 5 minutes ago.
an hour and a half and still nothing!!!!!!!!!! Guess I am not playing anytime soon 😠

Hey all,
We are starting to see recovery now and you should now be able to download and install your content.
If you cannot install still, please fully exit the EA app then end the EA Background Service task in task manager, then relaunch the app, sign in and try again.
I am still monitoring this thread in case these steps do not resolve the issue, so please let me know.

Update: If you are still getting stuck at "Preparing" when attempting to install - If you purchased from the EA app, please check the Order History on your account to verify that this purchase was successful. If you're seeing this purchase showing as Failed, or Processing, you'll need to contact the live support team here so they can look over your transaction history with you and see what's happened.
Update: If you do not see a status of Failed or Processing above, and instead see Completed but you still cannot install Growing Together please run the EA Error Reporter and provide the Report ID in the thread here to aid us in resolving this issue.
