Re: Looking for a great Laptop

Hi,

I have just bought a laptop for the Sims 4 and for future sims generations to come.

I have bought the Asus TUF Gaming FX705 - AU042T

I was shopping around for nearly 6 months ready review after review, and the Asus Gaming Laptops kept coming out on top.

The model I chose above, because it has a large 512GB SSD, it has 8GB HDD which I will likely in the future upgrade to 16GB but to buy a 16GB model was way over £1,000 which I wasn't willing to pay. The model I bought was £729.00, and its brilliant. It has NVIDIA GeForce 1650 graphics, which is more than enough for sims 4 considering it doesn't even require a dedicated graphics card to play! The best graphics card you can buy at the moment is 1070 I believe, which is overkill for sims really.

And it has AMD Ryzen 5 Quad Core Processor, from reviews I've read Ryzen CPU's offer gamers better value for money, as Intel are quite a lot more expensive but no different.

Hope this helps let me know if I can answer any further questions

🙂

Thank you for your help. I think I might have seen that laptop near me. I would like a lot of storage on my laptop. I am not sure how to upgrade. Is it difficult to upgrade the storage yourself? Would you have to open the laptop to do so? I will definitely keep it in my options list.
