It "should* be fine but it's always good to backup your user files: http://sims4.crinrict.com/en/2014/09/backups/
This way, you won't loose anything

Hello!
I've had a persistent bug with Sims 4 (ever since downloading the first patch/update released for Sims 4), where I have no text in my in-game interaction pie menus, as well as on Sims customization options in CAS (basically, everything that did not come with the base game (limited edition with free holiday pack) itself, which I bought on and installed from DVD-ROM back in 2014). I had hoped with my recent purchase and installation of Nifty Knitting, Cottage Living and Outdoor Retreat, that the issue would resolve, but the new interactions and features for all 3 packs also have the same problem - making all the new features I downloaded essentially unplayable, as I can't tell which interactions I am clicking when playing my game (e.g. I accidentally killed/sold? my cow on my animal shed).
I have already tried all the fixes in the below thread:
- none of these fixes have fixed the issue. I checked the installation files for each pack and the base game in my game files (x64 folder), but each pack has a language string file (ENG-US for each) in its folder, so missing language string files aren't my issue. (Side note: my base game language string file is still the original one from my initial installation, dated 2014 - hence my language string files have never updated themselves). Origin is also set to English (no option for ENG-US specifically, so simply set to English).
How can I fix this and make my game playable? (Ideally I'd like to be able to simply download the English language string file needed for each of my expansions and base game, and simply copy it into the installation folder in x64 on my harddrive).
Thank you in advance for the help! :-)
