Re: Purchasing/upgrading to get additional game language

Hello @Juliet2901,

As you already discovered, the languages available for the game depend on the region or country in which it was purchased. If you purchase the game in Spain (it doesn't matter if it's a disc version, or a digital one from Origin or one of our trusted retailers), it will include Spanish language.

Also, keep in mind if you purchase a PC disc, you can nonetheless install it in your Mac by redeeming the code in Origin.

Once you redeem your new code in Origin, you will have the option to have the game in Spanish. It's possible you can just go to Properties for the game and change the language to Spanish from there. However, you might need to uninstall and download it again.

When the game is installed in Spanish, if you want to keep your save games you had while playing in Polish, please, follow these steps:

  1. Open the game once in Spanish, and wait until it loads the main menu to close it.
  2. Go to Documents \ Electronic Arts and look for 2 folders for The Sims 4. One contains your save games and other user files (from the Polish installation of the game) and the other one 'Los Sims 4' contains files from the Spanish installation.
  3. Move the files inside the Polish The Sims 4 folder to 'Los Sims 4'.
  4. Done! You should be ready to keep playing with your Sims 🙂

I think this should have you covered, please, let us know if you have any questions,

-Mai
