Re: Sims 4 Crashes Instantly On Startup
Can anyone help me. I just recently tried to play the Sims 4 and I find that I'm encountering the same problems others have had here. When I launch the game it shows the EA and MAXIS animations then crashes. It never makes it to the menu. I've exhausted everything that I have found online but nothing works. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
-No mods are installed
-Windows is up to date
-gpu drivers are up to date
I've tried all of the following:
-fresh game install
-fresh origin install
-turning off in game overlay
-running in offline mode
-running as admin
-update/repair
-running in windowed mode
-creating new sims 4 folder
I do not currently, nor have I ever had Rivatuner or MSI Afterburner. I've attached the dxdiag, I dont know what to do anymore.
@TheDogeFatherTDF I've split your posts into their own thread because the other thread was a couple years old and about an unrelated issue.
If you have any Razer software running, please disable it in the Task Manager. If you don't have that software or disabling it doesn't help, try playing in a clean boot:

When you've rebooted, go through the Task Manager's background processes list shutting down anything that doesn't absolutely need to be running: some programs will start even in a clean boot, for whatever reason.
