Great, thanks 🙂 You need to add the following line to your GraphicsCards.sgr file:
0x1E87 "NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080" $cardLevelUber $resolutionHigh
- Locate the GraphicsCards.sgr file here, make a backup of it, and open it in Notepad - Program files(x86) > Origin games > The Sims 4 > Game > bin
- Add the line under the NVIDIA section so it looks like this:
Save and quit then open your game and see how it plays. Close the game and open the Config.log file in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4. Near the top under === Graphics device info ===
check the Found and Supported values are 1.
Okay I've done it and I'm testing it. Should it make the game perform better? Since it's onlysince getting the card not recognised has the games performance been janky.

How do you check?
The game still stutters but not as much as it did.
