Re: Sims 4 Won't Eat

I'm a bit autistic, so I need you to be a bit more... um... straightforward? By game language do you mean by what country I am from or an actual sort of "game language"?

As for interactions... I just know that when he needs to go to sleep I will click his bed and select "Go to Sleep". When I click the fridge, click open and select a dish in it I click "Grab a Serving"... there is also "Pick up Serving", but the "Grab" one works for the others just fine...

I meant if you're game language is in english or french or what other language since the interactions are called the same in the french version.

From what you're saying, you're on english.

Have you tried moving your Sims out and back in via household manager ?

Will he lose anything if I move him out and in? 'Like his relationships with the others or his achievements?

He shouldn't but if you're unsure, save the game, move him, check if he's missing anything/test the issue and go back of move on with the game.

'Took a while before I could test this due to many annoying IRL difficulties, but I think it worked! After making him stop playing a game, I was about to go through the entire process of making him go to the fridge, grab a serving and make him eat. I stopped myself and waited and sure enough, auto kicked in and he went himself! It is like a miracle! Thank you!

He has also suddenly begun eating with his left hand rather than his right... Interesting...

  • I am curious why you didn't recommend trying to clear the cache files ( a standard Sims 4 troubleshooting step) or sending the family on vacation.

In my case, I sent the family on vacation to Granite Falls and then had them "call to meal"    Whole family grabbed food, sat down and started eating.   I then saved the game while they were eating and did the standard Sims 4 cache file clear and went back to playing.

Honestly, cache clear, which the "repair Game" should do but doesn't seem to always get all of it, fixes about 80-90% of the problems I have encountered over the years since Sims 4 launch.  Especially issues that happen after a new content or expansion pack installs.
