No mods - removed before update. localthumbscache also deleted before starting the game up, after update. Nothing was added to my game, and I mean NOTHING at all. It was just an empty update.
Im currently doing a repair game, and next I will try to test a brand new save. Just sucks if it doesnt include old saves, because I played on this one for years!
Having the same issue. I updated my game and nothing new was added. Tried repairing my game and it reverted my game update back to 1.120 and I now have no way to re-update my game.

This happened to me also.. just when my save files current plot was getting so good!!!!
I don't even have the option to update in the ea app! I've loaded my game and it's on 1.120 so I know it's not updated already
I'm having the same problem, and now the game won't start and it's telling me to update via Origin... which as far as I know isn't possible. Didn't Origin get shut down last April???

Origin!? What? ROFL. I can't even..... Someone did send me screenshot from The Sims 4 discord, the sims team are aware and are working on it. I'm just so over there always being issues with this game. And now even it's updates are bugged. Come on! 🤣

I did a Recover App in the EA app, and then I repaired my game. Now at least I get a brand new Chinese New Year Pop Up when I open the game, but still no new stuff in my current savefile. Testing a whole new save now....
Repair set my game back to old version. Can't update again, like all the others. New game did nothing. No new stuff added. This update is bugged, which is very ironic.
Does your game open like at all?? mine just does this.. and i never had origin only the ea app.
No. I dont get any errors. My game opens just fine. It's just not the new version. It's still the old version, and no new stuff has been added. The update did try to get added like three times, before I did an App Recovery, and then it seemed to finally go through, but clearly it didnt.
