I bought a sims key code yesterday afternoon, installed the sims, but now whenever I press play, it says I am missing or have damaged files, yet whenever I press repair, it doesn't change anything. It looks like a bunch of people are having this problem, and it also seems it came from your newest patch. Anyone know how to revert back to old versions of TS4 or how to fix this at all?Heres my error code, if it helps: [85262c58:29f00e76:00000000]I also tried everything it tells you to do in the "installation & startup issues" post, reinstalled the game and origin, but nothing works. I paid 52 CAD for this game, but because I got a key I don't even think I can get a refund. 52 Dollars down the drain, how fun.

To anyone else having this problem: Do you have an in-home server?I do have one, which stores a bunch of my stuff, so half of my game was installed on the server, while the other half on my computer. Thats the reason it kept saying that I am missing data. All you have to do is make another local administrator on your computer.

Do you have the same problem as me where it says you are missing game data or is it something else? because I've seen many people with different variations of this problem (Game won't load, play button greyed out, crash at load screen, but so far I haven't seen anyone with this exact problem.
Im also waiting for the next patch to see if that changes anything and reinstalls/fixes anything thats wrong with my game, or else I have to wait until friday when my internet resets to try and download it to another computer

someone had same problem with demo this fixed it for them
I would suggest trying to start the demo after booting your computer in safe mode with networking or reinstalling while in safe mode if that doesn't help:

did you try in the orign my games tab right clcik the game icon click on check for updates

Yea I did that already. If nothing works I can just wait until Friday, when my internet resets and I can redownload again but on a Windows 8, newer computer

wait right clcik the game icon shortcut on the desktop it could be a compatibility issue you may have to fiddle with a bit to get the right one

first right clcik the icon-properties-compatibility tab -run this program in compatibility mode for try windows XP first if not then windows 7

Already done. Like I said, I tried everything the guides told me to do and a bunch of other stuff I got from other threads.
