Sims 4 - Pink circle in blue square errors when launching option menus!

What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Cats and Dogs, Seasons, Discover University, Island Living, City Living, Get to Work, Parenthood, Dine Out, Laundry Day Stuff, Tiny Living
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Click on anything that brings an option menu - eg book case, invite over, cook, etc.
What happens when the bug occurs? a pink circle in a blue box appears in the middle of the screen with a blue box. Also, depending on the selection, a yellow outline appears on the left hand side where a menu would normally appear
What do you expect to see? I try to click on a menu, I expect the menu to appear, it does not appear and means many aspects of the game aren't available
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Yes
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

In the screenshots above, I had clicked on the mobile phone ->chat with and the yellow box appears on the left, but nothing else.

In the other, I had clicked on one of my cats->encourage to mate with and the bugged image of the cats appears, but you can't select any of them.

This first happened after the patch that followed the big bug with the eco lifestyle update. There was a short period where it worked again, but back to this.

It affects all games old and new.. 

Has this happened to anyone else? What do I do?!?!
