If you have any mods move the mods folder to the desktop.
Delete localthumbcache.package file in the game folder and fix the game in Origin.
Origin/Library -right click on TS4 - option "Repair game"
You have to wait until Origin will fix all packs, not only the base game.
Turn on the game to create a new, empty mods folder. Check if a game is working now without mods.
Then copy from desktop your mods and CC and paste it in the new mods folder. First, paste script mods every time checking if the game is OK. Do the same with CC but if you have a lot of this, try the 50/50 method
If you don't have CC or mods delete this file and fix the game also. The game will create the same new file but without saved errors.
If you have no mods or it will not work.
You can try this:
Right-click your computer icon go to properties and advanced system settings and then under the advanced tab go to system properties. Once there on the advanced tab under performance, click settings then go to the data execution prevention tab and add the game to the exception list.
Check if your Windows is up to date

Check whether your system has any problems that may not have been shown in DxDiag

Check if your ventilation system is clean and the computer does not overheat. Such crashes can also have a prosaic cause. When the processor and card work hard and ventilation system is dirty then it will overheat and the system will turn off the game to protect the hardware. In extreme cases, the system itself will turn off.
I don't work for EA
I am running the game with no mods/cc. I've repaired the game several times, and even manually deleted and reinstalled the microsoft framework needed to run the game. My hardware and case are clean, no other game has any problems just the sims 4. All my steam games work, my world of warcraft works, but not the sims 4. The weirdest thing was that is was working just fine the day before. All my drivers are up to date, my windows has all important updates installed and I've turned them off as of yesterday to keep it from nagging me about non crucial ones. The only thing I did was shut down the computer for the night and now the game is throwing errors. I've looked up potential fixes for bex64 and tried them all but none have worked. I've also scanned all my windows files with sfc scannow command prompt as administrator, ran the game in both 32 bit and 64 bit, done a chkdks, and ran the game in compatibility mode. None of my files were corrupted, my hardware is functioning as intended. Its just the sims 4 that is throwing errors. Also deleted localthumbnail cache file, verified all my expansions as well as base game, added program to dep exception list, and antivirus list. Tried playing in offline mode, no internet, all optional origin features disabled, taking saves out and starting a new game, and disabled origin in game.

Well, in this case, try reinstalling the game. This is the only thing you didn't do. Keep your saves and Tray folders on the desktop.- jpkarlsen7 years agoHero (Retired)
A BEX64 error is often caused by conflicting software such as 3rd party antivirus or monitoring programs plus "enhancement" software for Video or Audio. Please try to first disable any 3rd party AV then test the game.

I've now reinstalled the game, and I'm still getting the error. I don't run 3rd party enhancement software like Msi afterburner and the like. My only anti virus is windows defender. I also don't do any streaming or have any such software on my computer such as Relive for amd. The only program I am currently running is Z engine for my Merc Stealth. I removed Logitech software for my Proteus core gaming mouse. I have malwarebytes installed but it doesn't run when I play the sims 4, I have it disabled.
The only programs installed on my computer are :
Amd Catalyst Beta ( for mb drivers)
AMD Adrenaline 2019 Edition (For RX 480 drivers) I didn't even install anything but the video driver. Its the current recommended, as I moved World of Warcraft to my windows 10 partition to eliminate the need for the optional driver.
Malwarebytes
Origin
Steam
Crusader kings II (through steam)
Sims 4
Realtec High definition Audio driver ( For MB)
Windows 7 64 bit Professional on its own partition of my C Drive (SSD) The only other thing on the windows 7 partition is the amd drivers, realtek and malwarebytes. Everything else is stored on my HDD.
All important updates installed for windows, origin and the sims 4, including the newest origin update that came out today.
