I seem to have the same problem. There was an update two days ago, I'm playing through Steam and the updates are downloading automatically. Today I tried to turn the game on for the first time, but I can't even get to the main menu.
The game loads for a few seconds and then crashes. There's no error message, I'm just back on the desktop and there's a Last Crash file in my folder.
This happens regardless of whether I have mods in the game or not. I took them out and still the game crashes a few seconds after turning it on. I've never had this happen before either, this is a first.
I don't know what to do. If it's not the mods fault, then I guess it really is the update? We may have to wait for some other patch update, that would be the better case. I dread the thought of having to delete my saved games, that would destroy me.
It has to be the update because I literally have the same problem, someone tried to help me and it didn't work, I reinstalled the whole game, took mods out, updated graphic drivers, took saves out and it's still a problem so it has to be the update.
