Sims 4 crashing after Sept. 2024 update when I go into build/buy

agentsmellis00  Sorry for the late reply.  I'm not sure how I missed your post the first time around, but this site is weird about sort order sometimes.

At any rate, your dxdiag makes the issue obvious: it's an incompatibility between your graphics chip, or more specifically the chip and driver combined, and Sims 4's DirectX 9 mode.  So force the game to use DX11 mode instead.  Open the EA App, click Sims 4 > Manage > View properties, and add -dx11 to the command line box.
