Sims 4 Crashing on travelling

Please Help me, My game isn't letting me travel to any lots, it will load in a family to their home lot just fine, but upon trying to travel it crashes my game ☹️

There is no lastcrash file generated

It did not do this before the recent patch ☹️

I removed all mods and CC and it still does this.

I know my specs for the pc are fine due to it working fine for 2+ years prior to this update

@CharaEatsDirt  Please try playing in windowed mode.  You can change it in the graphics settings.

If that doesn't help, try switching to DirectX 9 mode, also an option in the graphics settings.  If that helps, but you'd rather keep using DX11 mode, let me know.

@nibindante  Please try the clean user folder, as described in post 2, and if that doesn't help, provide a dxdiag as well.  You can also try windowed mode, and DX9 mode, as described above.

  • @CharaEatsDirt  Does it matter which lot you send your sims to?  Please test a few if you haven't already.

If all lots are affected, please try playing in a clean user folder.  Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you moved but temporarily not read by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just start a new save and see whether you can get through a couple travel transitions without a crash.

If that doesn't help, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.

The game crashed after attempting to move the new household into a lot, so from main menu to cas it was fine, from cas to the world map was fine, but from the world map to a lot it crashed again, I've attached the DxDiag file to this message

I have the same problem, also everything was fine until new update. I tried uninstalling mods, Repair, deleting cache and even playing on new save. It mostly crash while travelling but also sometimes when leaving CAS or even out of blue when nothing particular is happening, just playing in the household.

Please help, this game is unplayable at this moment!

  • I'm currently experiencing this same problem. Creating a new The Sims 4 folder helped and my game stopped crashing, but as soon as I added by mods and CC back, it started crashing again and taking my mods and CC out again did not help.
