Sims 4 Gallery Problem

Why after the update does it take so long to download a house or room now? I'm staring at this pink Sims bunny as it is saving to my library. Before the update it the game would download and I could move on to my next favorite creator. Now its so slow that its really annoying to download something.

Also, is there a limit now to the amount of downloading from any player. Example: I follow a certain creator and she uploads 4 or 5 things a day, sometimes. I download them all cuz I love her creations! 🙂  Now, my game is freezing when I download something of hers. But not any other players. I can fav her stuff but it freezes now. So is there a limit to the amount of one players content I can have in my library. Do I need an external drive?? Or do I need to delete her stuff. (sniff) Before the update it wasn't like that. (whispers: we can all blame the last update for most problems, right?)  But I always thought we have unlimited downloading for all creators. Or have there always been limitations on how much content of one player we can have in our library? That doesn't sound right.

I told the creator that I can't dl any more of her creations cuz my game freezes. She admitted she can't dl anymore of my creations! She said she had to delete a lot of mine and only keep what she really liked.  She just favs now. This is so sad!

Are we limited in that capacity??   Any suggestions?

    I had this problem with everything in the gallery. I even tried to delete one of my families from my library, but it just froze and I had to go to my task manager to force close the game. Nothing on my gallery is working. I've tried for days now to place a lot into my game with no success. I've gotten as far as having it load into the lot, but the game gets stuck on the preview before you can move around in build mode. I even deleted some mods from my game, thinking that they were the issue. Nothing. Nada. Zip. Zilch. Zero. Every single time I try to load/place/save ANYTHING from the gallery, I have to force close the game.

    Anytime I try to load anything from the gallery, my game gets stuck loading. I even tried to leave my laptop to see if it would eventually load, but no. For days, I've been trying to place a lot into my game, but again, it gets stuck loading. I've tried taking out and deleting some mods from my game, but that didn't help. Nothing seems to be working and I'm at a loss. I don't know what else to do besides do a factory reset, which I'm avoiding.

    Another example is, I was trying to delete a family from my gallery and it just froze on loading. I have to keep going into my task manager on my pc to force close the game. Also, every time I do that, I lose all of my progress.

    This is getting very annoying. Someone please give me some insight.

    Hi @GardenRecluse and @Awk0_Maddi

    are you guys using mods in your game ? namely the UI Cheat Extension ?

    If so, make sure they are updated for the current patch level or remove them

    Custom content can get outdated with patches. If it works when you remove your mods folder, then one or more mods/cc is no longer compatible with the game and you have to find those.

    @crinrict Thank you very much for this advice. I heard that some people were having problems with the UI extension mod. I didn’t think to take it out, I’ll have to try it. (:
