@eclectic_sims Please update your graphics driver, which is ten months old. You can get the newest driver here:
https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/drivers/
Run the installer as an admin: right-click the download and select "Run as administrator." Restart your computer after installing and before trying to play.
Please also remove any files in ConfigOverride, in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4.
If you get another crash, try switching back to DirectX 9 mode, which is an option in the graphics settings, to the right of post processing. Let me know whether it helps. If it does but you'd rather use DX11 mode, we can keep troubleshooting.
@PrincesseJanelle Please use this bug thread for the cabinets issue:

For the CAS issue, does it happen with no mods or custom content present, and nothing in ConfigOverride? If so, please provide a dxdiag.

That won't work. I have everything updated, completely erased all files in my sims 4 folder, have no mods...and it still shuts down without warning. I can't even build a house. This didn't happen til I bought the two kits. I started a completely new save file just to play. Also, scenarios has disappeared from my selections.

@LunarAmethyst21 Please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.

I will not be doing that. I have seen other post by you and I am not doing the run around with it. I know you are trying to make it my computer's fault why it won't work. I literally was playing just fine all night last night. Literally nothing happened until I downloaded the two new kits. I up date my drivers on a regular basis. This is a GAME issue. It is a widespread issue. There are many with this same issue...that literally happened after the kits were downloaded. Same thing with there last super big update. I will not be doing the run around. EA needs to test their crap out before releasing it. I have never has so many issues until that big update awhile ago. Thanks thou.

Hey, just getting back to you on my game. I have switched back to DirectX 9. It hasn't crashed since I switched. Thanks for the help!

@eclectic_sims That's great to hear. Since you first posted, I've had a few other people with the sme type of crash as you say that removing ReShade or GShade fixed the problem. That would make sense in your case too because these tools have DX9 and 11 versions that aren't compatible with the opposing version of Sims 4. So if you use either one, please remove it and repair the game.
If you're willing, and you have a corresponding lastcrash in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4, I'd like to see it too, for resarch purposes. (Please check the date to make sure it's from your DX11-related crashes.) At last count there were something like 17 different players with this type of crash, and some of them haven't been able to solve it, or at least they haven't told me it was solved.
