Hi everyone, I know this thread is MONTHS old but I thought I'd pop in. I've enabled DX 11 a week ago after taking a bit of a sims hiatus, and I haven't run into any crashing issues (if anything I'm crashing on DX9) so I believe that EA resolved this problem. I hope its working fine for everybody else!
