Sims 4 Lag?

So i've posted about sims 4 lag in the past but the issue has still not been resolved. To cut a long story short, all of my windows files and games (including sims) are on my C drive which is currently 791 GB free of 930GB and my sims is  still lagging and being typically slow, the loading screen takes a while to come up, my sims often move slow and are just lagging in general and it lags whenever i click objects etc.  I have recently added a new driver onto my laptop which has been 'hidden' on my laptop after installing windows 10 which is currently 119GB free (and i believe this is my SSD card)

My sims 4 is lagging and getting SO slow!! My PC specs are applicable to the system requirements, which are:

CPU - Intel Core i7-4700MQ

Memory: 8GB DDR3L

Storage: 128GB mSSD and 1TB (5400rpm) HDD

OS: Windows 10

Graphics card: Nividia Geforce GTX 765M

I have tried everything to get my sims and expansion packs running smoothly including repairing the game, emptying cache files, updating my computer and drivers, erasing all CC and mods. It makes me more frustrated as i know that in the past sims 4 ran perfectly fine on ultra high settings! Do i need to upgrade the ram on my laptop? do i move my sims folder to my SSD card? I literally have no clue what more i can do...

Your computer is below minimum requirements for the game. It is a wonder that you get it to run at all with just a little lag.

  • welp alright. Doesn't look like i'm gonna get a fix for this besides getting a new computer.

    Thanks anyway

You may have to upgrade your ram and check if your processor is out of date. After these steps you may have to restart your computer and your game client

It's really more the overall specs. Did you have the DLC for a while now or are those newly added ?

Your graphics chip is below minimum requirements and the drivers are old (although I'm unsure if there even are newer ones.
  • Yesterday i checked and updated anything i could. I did have a windows system update but i don't know if that changed anything.

But i spent a few hours in game yesterday on build mode and the simulation lag isn't that bad anymore. So maybe the game needs some warming up before i can play in live mode? I dunno. But thanks guys.

    - The only new dlc i added was get together and the backyard pack but i don't think those are causing it since i'm still getting the lag after reverting to a no dlc state using this http://jamesturner.yt/disablepacks
