Sims 4 Manage worlds selection greyed out

I've been deaing with this for a while now. I bought the game monday gone, and after looking online i realised there was lts onlne that i oculd download into the game. I set the gallery up and found a house that i really liked and would like a family to live in, only to realise that the download button in the bottom right hand corner of the gallery window was greyed out. I googled this and only things like 'how to manage worlds' were showing up, so i went to try it. i clicked on the dots in the top right hand corner of the screen and found manage households. The option for manage households is greyed out so i cant select it, and when i try to click it, it says that manage worlds ans split households are not available in this mode. I contacted EA customer online support and they were no help. i received an email from them after saying right click the game window in origin and select repair problem and this should fix it and we're closing the case. i tried that and it didnt fix it.

So basically, manage worlds and split households arent available in the mode i am in, i don't know what mode i am in, and i would greatly appreciate if someone could inform me on how to change it.

    You have to start a game first. Did you do that ?

    Create a Sim and then place it in the world. Then you can enter manage world.

    Yeah ive had a few families and tried it with them games, but they all have said manage worlds and switch households are not available in this mode

    You have to be in love mode, which makes no sense IMO. They should really explain how to get to the right mode when you hover over the greyed out area, but there you go.

    im having the same problem as well this is making it hard on the player not fun. in the creator's guide book it shows a world call neon paradise with a burger place bowling alley but why isn't it in the game?? i can't even build in my town do to the Gray and cant even see the whole town this is a big failure

    What creator's guide ? Sims 4 does not have that. And yes, there is not create a world.

    This thread is about not being able to place houses from map view though.

    This worked for me: Click "Open the Gallery" or press F4 on your keyboard. Once the window shows up go to the community tab and choose a house/lot you would like to use. Click on the downward arrow at the bottom right corner to place it into an empty lot that's located in one of the worlds. And the waiting screen should pop up while it's is being built.

    I cant manage worlds at all. it is greyed out no matter where I'm at

    What does it say when you hover over it ? Can you save and such ?

    Are you using any mods/cc ?
