@haze2008 Try clearing Origin's cache, and if that doesn't help, uninstalling Origin "the hard way" (Origin only, not Sims 4).

You can also toggle automatic game updates on and off; quit Origin and restart your computer in between. To access the option, hover over your username, select Application Settings, and under Application (the first tab), scroll down to Client update.
Thank you. So I tried going back onto the computer and and hit download again it let me do that but now it just says details and in progress however there is nothing showing the amount of time or anything. I also am not sure how to clear cache.

@haze2008 I posted instructions for clearing the cache in Windows, and also for uninstalling Origin "the hard way." If you have a Mac, you can run the Origin reset tool instead.
