Sims 4 Save File Issues

After having some issues with some CC I did a repair on my Sims 4 game, when it loaded there was no "load game" option, just to start a new game. I did an online search and found out this is a common issue...however, I have tried ALL the fixes and my case seems to be slightly different. I have no slot_00000001.save at all! I have a slot_00000002.save, as well as a few previous versions of the same. I backed these up, and as instructed by the previous help forums created a new save file to (hopefully) fix the problem. This didn't work, so I tried the renaming trick...no dice. I even straight up deleted all the new files out of the save folder and put in the old ones (verified by the time stamps as being my game from a few days ago) and it STILL only shows the new one! 

I'm suspecting the issue might be because the new save file was also named slot_00000002.save, so the game is only recognizing the most previously named file. I tried renaming my old save file slot_00000003.save, and put that as the only thing in the folder...STILL the new game!

I am completely baffled, and frustrated. This is my last hope before I give up entirely and start all over from scratch, if anyone has any ideas what's going on or how to fix it, please, PLEASE, I'll try anything!

    The autosave slot (00000001.save) is no longer used. The other saves will work fine without it.

    Start a new game . play one minute and save it option "save as" . If you have saved your previous game in the same option - "save as" the old save will be show up. If you always used the simple "save" option, I'm afraid that nothing can be done.

    the same thing happened to me, i dont have a slot_00000001.save! and whenever i make a new sim/household, and save and exit the game, and relaunch the game, there's no "load game" either ☹️(( have you found a solution? I miss playing the sims so much.

    Slot about which you mention, the game does not create anymore - it is a change introduced by EA

    If you are creating a family in CAS, you should only save this family to the library and go to the main menu. If you click V, you will start a new game and the old save disappears

    By the way, are you use OneDrive?
    If there is OneDrive, the game tends to create saves there. Unfortunately, then the game can not read such save on OneDrive.

    If you do not use OneDrive, you never click this green V in CAS and if you save the game option "Save as.."  then you should see the option "Load game"
