I recently download Sims 4 Cats & Dogs, today even, and my game loaded up fine. I went to CAS a created a household, and chose a house for them to live in. Between the screens of choosing a house and actually playing the game, it was an infinite loading screen. The plumbob just spun around and around, with the little texts popping up under it, for at least 20 minutes. I had to shut down my computer and tried again-with the same household. No luck. I tried once more, this time with a different household, and still, just an infinite loading page. I contacted Tech Support about 4 hours ago, and no one has called back. I tried repairing the game, with the base game and all packs, but I still had the same outcome. It was working fine yesterday, but then when I got home today I installed the new expansion and then this happened. Anyone know what's going on?

I contacted Tech Support and just got off the line. They say it is a technical issue on their end and they are working to fix it. We don't have to do anything but wait until they fix this issue.

Same, but my case is a little worse. I have no stuff packs at all or expansions. All I have is custom content with the custom content cleaner. I created a new sim and everything stopped working. Now I can't go into town. All I can do is create sims. I'm really mad and upset because I spent my 40 dollars on it. It's also my favorite game. Anyone who can help or knows what to do, please message me how I can fix this...

@Monkeys_R_Us1098Hi!Are you using any mods or cc in your game?Try to remove them and see if the game works better.For example, move the mods folder from C:\Users\Username\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 to your Desktop and start the game.If that works but you want to keep your mods, you can try some different things to sort out the ones not working:If your problem occurred after a certain mod haul, remove all these new mods (see if the game works), and then add back a few at a time, restarting the game in between until you see the problem occurring again. Remember that you can possible have several broken mods.If the problem started after the latest patch/update, always make sure to update your mods when you update your game. Check this list out for some mods that were broken in the C&D-patch! I sort of have the same problem as you except I can play the game without cc. However if I put my cc in the packages folder, then attempt to load up game it just freezes on the sims 4 with white background. I don't know what to do. This has happened ever since the new update on the sims. If anyone knows how to fix this please help us. (also it wouldn't let me write my own comment so I had to reply to yours, sorry.)

I also had this problem but I don't know if this solution only works on a MacBook but you should just swipe left on your trackpad with all your fingers the double click or right/left click on the sims 4 and it will say quit if the game doesn't quit go to the left corner on your Mac where there will be the apple logo pick on that and there will be an option that says force quit click on that and then on sims 4 the say force quit. The game should have quit then go onto origin and play Sims again your cc and everything will still be there.

nothing to do with the cats and dogs cuz my game just stopped working all of a sudden and i've had the cats and dogs for awhile. what is the actual date you started having this issue cuz i'm having the same problem and its gonna drive me nuts.

have you tried all the suggestions in this thread ? Are you using custom content or mods ?

Even if you don't have the pack, patches can make mods/cc outdated and they need updating.

The same thing has been happing with me I took my cc out and it works just fine. I check all my cc nothing messes with my game but then when I put my cc back in my game it loads then it freezing on a white screen with some words.

If it runs without your custom content, then you have one or more outdated downloads.

Custom content can get outdated with patches. If it works when you remove your mods folder, then one or more mods/cc is no longer compatible with the game and you have to find those.
