I got all the way to graduation, just waiting for the ceremony, tried to go to a secret society event and the game broke. Now I can't load the household. Tried to move them to a new neighborhood, hoping they would have their degrees but that doesn't work either. I can't play the household no matte what I do. I don't use mods so it is not that. This is so frustrating!!! Such a waste of time!!!
So, more information. I had two students in the household. One was a legacy Sim from the Generations Achievement. The other was a NPC sim met on campus. Everything was great until graduation. He was working on his second degree, she was on her first. She graduated fine. When he graduated, prior to the ceremony, I went to the campus to finish his secret society tasks. That is when the game broke. I don't use mods. I retrieved the saved game before the crash and had them just sit in the house until his graduated ceremony. Everything seemed fine until I tried to move them to a non campus neighborhood. Error! So I retrieved the saved game again. Split the household by moving her out of the campus neighborhood and left him on campus to see if it was because he's a "generation" Sim. Everything seemed fine until she tried to travel. Error! Basically, it seems like once they graduate, if you travel anywhere, the game breaks and then no matter what you do. It is just broken. SO frustrating after spending all that time achieving the degree. Shame on you EA for releasing something that just doesn't work!!!
I heck ton of people are having the same problem! I can get to CAS and move them into a house. But I can not get to game play, it crashes at the loading screen. EA betta release a hotfix for this soon!
I second that! My game has been down almost all week. I really want to play with this new pack. But I can't even get to gameplay to enjoy it.
is your game crashing when visiting lots and saying the lot is incomplete?
I'm having the same issue! Has anyone found out a solution? My Sims 4 Icon is a white Blank too! But i can play and go into origin and go into CAS Move them onto a lot and then the game kicks me out of it entirely! Someone help!
- @Pleca Yes! This is exactly what happened to me. I had a legacy sim marry an NPC met on campus. She got pregnant, and the game broke when they traveled to the hospital. The game crashed, and when I restarted it was two days back in time, but still at the hospital (she was no longer in labor). I was able to get them back home and play normally, but after saving and exiting the game I can no longer play with them. I've tried moving the household to another lot and evicting them and the game crashes. I'm prompted to restart, which doesn't change anything!
