@panther1977_1 A number of players have reported this issue on HP laptops after the patch. One said that disabling multiple monitors helped, but not where this setting is; I'd look under Windows Settings > System > Display, maybe under Advanced. (I don't have Windows 11 or this setting.) Another said this helped:

That did work, but then while playing, the game shut off without warning and when I tried to relaunch, I got an error saying my video card doesn't work which is bogus because it does.

@panther1977_1 Please restart your computer and try again to play, just in case this was a random glitch.
If you still get the error, please run a new dxdiag and post it. Please also let me know what antivirus you use.

HEy! I am getting the "Can't start The Sims 4 with the video card in the system. I had the latest graphics card for Nvidia and then installed a previous driver and it didn't fix anything. I reinstalled Windows 11 since my initial post so I don't have a Anti Virus software installed. Here is my latest dxdiag.
