Steam DLC issues

I purchased all my Sims 4 (base game and tons of DLC) through Steam.

When I have Sims 4 installed through Steam, when I try to play/launch, the EA app tells me I don't have access to the game and to download it through EA. I've attached a photo of the message I get.

If I uninstall from Steam and download through EA/Origin, it tells me I can't access any of my DLC because it's managed through Steam.

Can someone please tell me what I need to do?

My computer doesn't have the memory to download the base game and DLC TWICE, once through EA and once through Steam.

  • @AmeliaCrash  Please clear the EA App's cache:

If this doesn't help, make sure the EA and Steam accounts you're signing into are linked to each other.  You can do that by signing into an EA site, for example ea.com, with your Steam credentials, then confirming you're landing in the correct account.

You don't need to install Sims 4 twice; the Steam/EA tie-in should work just fine with only the Steam version installed.

I cleared the cache and it’s still giving me the same “You don’t have access - This title may have been downloaded to your device by another user who owns the game. Log in to a different account or restart the app to try again.”

If I go to the EA library, it shows another message over the game. I’ve attached a photo of what it says.

    Hi @AmeliaCrash,

Could you please run an EA Error Report with these steps and share the Error ID in your post here for me so we can look into this a bit further?
