Stuck Moodlets

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.54.120.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All of them besides the new Moschino stuff pack.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Make a family member die while there is a baby in the family.
What happens when the bug occurs? The baby ages up with a sad moodlet that says 2 days.... but then it stays. even after a few days.
What do you expect to see? The moodlet disappear after 2 days like it says. Or even for me to see the green arrow on the moodlet to say the time is dropping.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. It happened after the most recent update for the Moschino Pack. Never happened before that.

I have cleaned out caches.

I have traveled to other places after reading that may work.

I have repaired games.

I none of the cheats I can find are working.

I would prefer not having to use any mods at all. Shouldn't have to tbh.

I have literally done everything besides uninstall and reinstall, but i think it's in the save, so that wont help anyway.

Please I need answers. I am sick of her crying all the time!

  • @ShelleAmanda Tested this on my save (Vampires though) and the moodlet went away for me as it should have.

Does the same thing happen for you if you test on a different family (test on a copy of your save) ?

Unfortunately, I only know of a mod to get rid of stuck moodlets as the cheats to remove them have been disabled. You can remove the mod after you've done it though. Google TwistedMexi AllCheats if you want to try that route anyways

  • @crinrict  It first happened to my original family the other day but on the father, but repairing the game fixed the problem. The new family I'm playing is the son of my original family and his father died while the now toddler was a baby.

I will try the mod tonight when I get home from work and see if it fixes the problem.

It's funny having to rely on mods to fix a problem when we ar advised not to use mods as they can cause problems. Lol.

@ShelleAmanda You still need to use a cheat. The mod will only activate the cheat again (remove the sad buff specifically or all of them)

  • @crinrict I am fine with using cheats. Use them all the time. I'm not a huge fan of Mods. However, it did fix my problem so I am thankful for that.

    Thank you.
