stuck on loading screen

hyunjinsss  Can you load a different household in the same save?  Choose Load Game rather than Resume, choose this same save, and then pick a different family to play.  Let me know whether it works, and we'll go from there.

The suggestion to rename or move the Sims 4 folder is about the folder in Documents > Electronic Arts.  Moving or renaming it prevents the game from reading its data (saves, mods, etc.) but does not delete that data, so it's a useful test.  You don't need to do that now, but I might ask you to later.  So have a look through File Explorer on your computer to see whether you can find the folder.

nope, i cant load anything else.. it always plays the theme tune when a family loads, but my screen only shows the spinning plumbob...

hyunjinsss  Please try loading a new save (click New Game) and see whether it works.  If it doesn't, please move the Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts, as discussed earlier, and try again to load a new save.  This will remove, but not delete, your old saves and other user content.  You can restore it later, when the game is working again.

If the new save does load fine, please open Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 and delete any files with lastexception in their name.  Try again to load a household in your main save.  When it doesn't work, close the game and look for a new lastexception file.  If you find one, open it (Notepad is fine), delete the first line of text, and then attach the file to a reply here using the Attachment (paper clip icon) button included with the other formatting options.
