Testing cheats true messing up mouse sensitivity

I removed my mods so it’s not the mods I removed overlays I’ve done everything and I’ve noticed that the second I turned testing cheats on the mouse sensitivity is so high that the game is unplayable . In CAS I can’t create a sim anymore because any slight movement makes a huge difference to the sim. I can’t edit them anymore. And in live mode the second I twist the camera it just goes in a huge circle each time. And when I try to turn testing cheats off , it doesn’t do anything I have to completely restart the game . Also I like playing with cheats, it’s sooo annoying. Is there anything I can do to fix thisss?

This is really late so I apologize but the game still isn't working. Honestly I've given up because I have no idea what else to do. I've done everything you said, I've even deleted the game and reinstalled. Maybe it has something to do with the dlc?? However the dlc has never affected anything beforeat all. If theres anything else you could possibly do please let me know, thank you for your help.

  • vicewrld3  Sorry for the late reply; I've been away from the forums for a few days.  Please update your graphics driver, which is not all that old, but given this issue and the errors in your dxdiag, this could be the underlying problem.  Here's the newest driver from AMD:

    https://www.amd.com/en/support/downloads/drivers.html/graphics/radeon-rx/radeon-rx-6000-series/amd-radeon-rx-6500-xt.html

Run the installer as an admin: right-click the download and select "Run as administrator."  Restart your computer afterwards and before trying to play.

If that doesn't help, please try the clean boot I wrote about in my previous post.

  • Esthefanyvs  Are you using your trackpad or a third-party mouse, and does it help to switch?  If you were using a mouse and will now test with the trackpad, be sure to unplug the mouse before launching the game.

If that doesn't help, please try playing in a clean boot (not a clean install of Windows, just a way to disable background services).  Here's how:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/how-to-perform-a-clean-boot-in-windows-da2f9573-6eec-00ad-2f8a-a97a1807f3dd

The one service to leave enabled is the EABackgroundService, which the EA App needs in order to run.  Disable the rest as described.

When you reboot your computer, go through the Task Manager's background processes list shutting down any service that doesn't absolutely need to be running, for example anything from MSI Afterburner to RGB software might still be enabled.  If you accidentally kill a critical process and it doesn't restart on its own, just reboot your computer again.

Don't open anything other than Sims 4 and the EA App while testing, not even a browser window.

If this helps, you can selectively reenable services until you find the culprit, then either leave that disabled or (if it belongs to an app you want to keep using) let me know what it is so we can try to fix the underlying issue.

If the clean boot doesn't fix the problem, please try again, except with your computer offline.  You can sign into the EA App and put it in offline mode, then disable wifi and/or disconnect the ethernet cable before pressing Play.

vicewrld3  I've merged your post with another thread about the same issue.  Please provide a dxdiag as described above.  If you can't attach it to a reply, upload it to a third-party filesharing site (Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.) and link it here.  Make sure that "anyone with the link" can access it.  And you can try the clean boot as well.

  • I removed my mods so it’s not the mods and im pretty sure ive done everything. I notice that when i press shift is when it starts going out of control and the mouse sensitivity is so high that the game is unplayable also the WASD completely stops working.  I can’t create a sim in CAS because of the mouse sensitivity and any slight movement makes a huge difference to the sim. I tried going into live mode and even sims 3 camera but the second I twist the camera it just goes in a huge circle each time.  I have no idea whats going on because this doesn’t happen with any other game for me. If theres any fix pleasee let me know!

Still having issues nothing has fixed it, here is the DxDiag

It is not only when I turn Testing cheats on , it also happens when im playing for about 10 mins and the sensitivity is normal and then all of a sudden the game is unplayble because of the sensitivity, but turning testing cheats on does activate it once turned on as well.
