Every time I have tried to open the Sims4 for the past week it has got to the loading screen then shut down and opened the EA app, I have tried following all advice I've seen for this issue online with no success and have run a dxdiag which I have attached below. Any help would be much appreciated.
BayTree23 Sorry for the late reply. Your dxdiag shows that a component of Total AV is crashing, so it's a good idea to uninstall and reinstall it. Here's how to remove it:

I would test Sims 4 with the program removed just to see whether it's the issue. As long as you don't do anything else at the same time, your computer should be safe, and you can reinstall the antivirus (if you want) afterwards. Before trying to play with the AV removed, repair the game (EA App > Sims 4 > Manage > Repair) to address any changes that the AV might have made.
I've tried uninstalling total av but I can't find the option for repair in the EA app, when I go to manage the only option is to manage add-ons
BayTree23 If you play through Steam, that's where you'd need to repair the game. The option is called "Verify integrity of the game files and is under Properties > Installed Files.
Otherwise, does the EA App currently think the game is installed? That's the only other reason I can think of that the Repair option wouldn't be present.
