my game seems to be working propery but for some reason only in live mode i cant click on objects or sims to have them interact. the objects hghlight when i scroll over them and make a noise like i am clicking on it but no menu with options appears. anyone know how to fix this or what might be going on? thanks

That was a bit of a mess but I got the important information out of it. It seems like you are using an Intel graphics card, these are not optimal for gaming but it should be able to work, you probably need to upgrade your laptop by going to: http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/detect and install the updates it finds.

I had this problem too and have managed to fix it by updating my graphics driver. Even if you think it's not related to drivers, try it anyway - can't hurt! :-)

I am having the same issue.
My cpu runs the game itself on medium/high quality.
Looks great, runs smooth, no glitches that are out of this world lol.
But I can't click anything, it just highlights stuff in Live Mode.

Do you see the mouse cursor ?

I had the same problem.
In create the sim and construction mode is working the mouse.
The mouse cursor is appears in live mode, but is unable to click objects, and talk to others sims.
Im repair the game, run origin as administrator but the problem is a no solution.
