So this is what I get, I have tried everything (cleared cached, repaired game in ea app) I can find, is maybe uninstalling and reinstalling everything my only option?

I am also having the same issue. Just stuck in loading screen with 100% gpu usage
mikmax2 Please clear the EA App's cache:

and repair the game (Sims 4 > Manage > Repair). If that doesn't help, open Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 and delete GameVersion.txt, then try again.
Samanthabuilds Are you getting this specific error, or are you stuck on a loading screen? If the latter, which loading screen is it, and if it's for a specific save, can you load a different save? Do you have mods or custom content, and does the game work with your Mods folder removed?

I had that issue yesterday, couldn't start my game. I got the message to update my game, but I had done exactly that. But efter clearing cache in the EA-app and cachefiles in game, logging out from EA-app and log in again, it started by itself to downloade the new update again! It was the second time, and that solved the problem. 😏
Very annoyed right now I have played offline since September last year and my gamed glitched today and I had to put it back into online mode to fix it now my game is broken EA you are now on my Purge list I am done with this game and done with EA
I had already done all the other solutions, but deleting GameVersion.txt seems to have worked, the game updated again after that, and is now working, thank you!

Well I have tried everything and updated all my cc but still the game won't load at all.. Anyone any suggestions?
LarissaxBeau Try removing your entire Mods folder. You don't need to save your progress, but this is an important test.
