Washing Machine not Working when Placed Against Wall.

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Outdoor Retreat, Get to Work, City Living, Get Together, Parenthood, Spa Day, Laundry Day, Movie Hangout Stuff, Perfect Patio
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Placing a washing machine against a wall during game play.
What happens when the bug occurs? When a washing machine is placed against a wall during game play, clicking on the hamper to do laundry all options will be greyed out saying there is no washing machine on the lot.
What do you expect to see? No option to do laundry when a washing machine is placed against a wall.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

  Really annoying glitch in my game where when a washing machine is placed against a wall or in an enclosed space there is no option to do laundry only able to upgrade. Got no CC and its been happening since I downloaded the pack, no amount of updating or repairing my game fixes the issue.

    Do you have any shelves above it ? I don't have any issues with them just placing them against the wall but there's a known issue with shelves

    If you don't, could you upload your house to the gallery and most it's name/your username here (if different from the one you're using to post)  ?

    After fighting with my game for about half an hour I figured out the shelving part as well. I was able to keep my shelving and fix my washer/drier by holding ALT and moving them slightly away from the wall. (Not really a FIX per say, but it works for now.)

     No shelves above it but when the washing machines are against a wall they don't work. I can't put the house on the gallery unfortunately as my laptop corrupted itself and I had to wipe everything off my system

    I've tried all kinds of scenarios in tight spaces and it always worked for me (without shelves).

    Does it work if you stack ?

    Mine has nothing to do with walls it’s just random all the time, the hamper gets greyout and telling me that there is no washing machine available. Or sometimes it tell me clothes are clean when they are not. The worst is when you put the dirty clothes in the washer and get an instant clean, but then you put it in the dryer or on the hanger it’s says that it’s dirty.
