Is the account connected to the disk and to the PC?

At first I played The Sims on disk, but later I removed the disk drive and played without using the disk. I wanted to know if the account from the disk is still linked to the PC account? I didn't buy...

    @milachu  Your account remains the same as it was. The game is now free. No disk needed.

Thank you, and one more question) If I sell a disc, will people have my account? And will they get access to it?

@milachu You won't be able to sell the disc. Why buy it if the game is free?
The disk is not linked to an account. Only you have access to your account. However, if you activated the serial number from the disk on your account, then the new owner will not be able to start the game.
