How would dlccwork?

I wonder if some dlc be like the store small packs with minimal game play.

While bigger dcl would be like game packs and expansion packs.

Maybe we can have world packs?

Per Lyndsay, I feel like fundamental systems will be added as base game updates. But all the new interactive objects, content, and features will be packs.

As for worlds, I imagine we start with one and then more get added as DLC content.

In this concept I made, there are multiple worlds and each world interconnects like puzzle pieces that make up the Sims universe. Your active family lives in one of these open worlds, but they can go to a train station rabbit hole and travel, after a loading screen, to a new world. This is done because have every single world being open and simulated is not scalable with new added worlds.

Importantly, you can have long distance relationships and invite guests from other worlds to stay over. There is universal aging across worlds, if you turn aging on.

    Advantages include:
-open world for your active household

-interconnected with ability to have long-distance relationships across worlds

-ability to travel to another open world via a loading screen

-immersive: you can't instantly warp from a coastal Brindleton Day to an isolated Strangetown Desert without boarding a train and traveling, just like real life

-scalable as you can add new worlds but still run well as only one world is simulated at a time

-added LORE and universe-building by displaying multiple worlds as a unified concept

I hope the Sims team is able to merge Sims 3 style open world gameplay (which is fundamentally restricted to legacy, single-household play) AND sims 2 rotational play

That seems cute the maps can get bigger and bigger like a world
