- Chicklet453685 years agoSeasoned AceI think that it's a texture and rigging issue. Sims bodies have bone assignments that hair has to be rigged to in order for the hair to not clip inside of the body when a sim moves. So, let's say if you have hair that's shoulder length and it's rigged to the bones it interacts with, such as the shoulders, if you make it longer like down to the waist there would be no bone assignment for the rest of the back below the shoulders and the hair would not perform correctly. Then there's the issue with textures, making hair longer would stretch the texture since each texture is specifically created for that particular hair mesh shape, stretching the mesh would deform the texture.
