Product license limitation is reached!

Hey

I tried downloading the free Sims 2 Ultimate Collection that EA have offered on Origin only when I downloaded it, it asked for a registration code for The Sims 2 Fun with Pets Collection, as I wasn't provided with one I found a code on the internet, put it in and it said The licenese limit for this product has been reached please contacr EA support for further assistance and it won't let me play the game at all! I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling but it didn't work

It asks me to enter and verify the code. I click done and then it asks again and again and again until eventually it decides that the code is invalid.

Yeah it did the same for me!! It must be a fault from EA as it seems looking at the forum we're not the only ones having this trouble

Hi. I tried to install the sims 2 ultimate pack and it asked for a code. I pressed enter and now it says that the code limit has been reached. How or why, I don't understand but it told me to contact EA. Not only is this upsetting as I'm an avid Sims fan, but I came home expecting to play my favourite game. Not have to chase something I shouldn't have had to deal with. Please help me either with a code or a way to reset the game to enter the code again.

I would suggest contacting support, it's what I'm doing. I've done everything they said to do, clean my registry, uninstall, reinstall. I sitll get the same message as you, though before that it let me enter a code. But, after trying to do that 5 times but the code failing to work. Is when I started getting that.

From what I've read around, sadly on the, The Sims 3 site, the support person needs to either reset the license, give you a new code for the game (or Both),  de-authorize your PC, which I tried and the page that came up was blank, or a Error 404, or you need to reinstall your OS system.  The last one seems a bit much, as it shouldn't be too hard to reset the license and give a new code. I'm still waiting for another person to help me fix my problem though.

I got the Sims 2: Ultimate Collection by using the code "I-LOVE-THE-SIMS", and installation went smooth. The problem is, when i press play, another window opens up. The window thta pops-up is regarding the Fun With Pets Pack, and requests me to put in the serial key. So i did what it asked me to do, and then it quickly shut down. Then i retry the play button, and a new window pops up. It says that my "Licence limit has been reached" Which i don't really get. Is the key broken somehow or what?

I have seen others with the same problem, but none of them seems to have any ideas for what the cause may be. So could you help me?

Hi there,
I know people were having issues with the product key so I tried entering another product key I found online. However, now The Sims 2 keeps saying it has reached it's authorization limit. I have tried multiple times uninstalling both via the uninstall tool and manually deleting the files and registry keys.

I have also tried using the de-authorize tool but it just opens a blank webpage and nothing loads.

I seriously don't know what else to do, I can't request a proper new product key until I deauthorize this machine. Please help, this is very fustrating. The only other thing I can think is to register it on my laptop then cut and paste all the files and keys to my PC.

Hey! Today (The 24th of July 2014) I tried to install The Sims 2 from Origin and it worked perfectly! Then I tried to click the "Play" button. Then I got the message that i needed to write in theserial or product code or the code to the game, and at the side there was a picture of of the Fun With Pets Collection so I found the serial code/number for Fun with Pets Collection, wrote it in and it "Kinda" worked, but then i got the message that: The licence limit for this game is reached. Please go to http:.//Support.ea.com and contact EA support for help. 

I tried to reinstall the game but i got the same last message and no message to write in a code. Just the Licence limit message. 

Did this happen to anyone else or is it just me? Is Ea working on it?
