OK kids, I'm done. I said what I said, and you can have a tantrum about it right on this forum if you'd like.
I am playing The Sims, and enjoying it, and unlike all of you, I don't feel the need to cry about everything I don't have in the game every two seconds or spam the team on Twitter just to get what I want. I just hope that they recognize when it's a legitimate complaint, and when they can put all of you on ignore. Twitter has too much power over things right now, and it's not right for them to constantly treat it like it's the voice of every person who plays this game. That's it.
We all now by now it’s only a one way streets when it comes to this group & the consequences you may face if you don’t give in to their demands
I own all sims 4 packs. That costs nearly $700 and its climbing. Asking them not to ignore people who feel excluded, in a time where they are themselves saying that POC matter and that they will do all they can do include us, is not asking too much.
EA has nothing to lose by honoring its fan base . And the weird thing is , what do you have to lose by POC being listened to?
I also own all packs & been playing since the start. And there has been so many things I wish I could of seen in the game but I don’t go spamming on their posts & twitter page etc and demanding what I want. Instead what I do like some of us simmers is come on here asking kindly & give great constructive ideas here on the forums but yet not be heard. How is that okay in anyway? Why only give in to this group? Because again we all know the consequences & that’s why I don’t think we should be acknowledging & rewarding this kind of behavior. At the end of the day this is a game . You can’t expect any and every game to represent everyone . Are you not going to play a game because the character is already pre made? Especially if it’s the opposite gender of you? This is a simulator I understand that but you can’t expect it to represent everyone especially when there’s just too much diversity in the world & cant expect it to be “perfect”. There are far more important things that I believe they should improve on. I can make the perfect sim that looks like me but yet the personality & emotion/traits is nothing like me. We still have babies as objects. A lot of simmers have been asking for them to do more. But again, no one listens to us because it’s a one way street. & the sad part is the one time we can put clothing on our object babies is behind a paywall on knitting but not added to the base game.
They are making their voices heard and offering the much needed criticism that is necessary for the game to improve and be a good experience for everyone, not just some. I become very frustrated when creating sims that resemble darker skinned people because there is a lack of vibrancy to the skintones for darker sims. That is not something people should simply be quiet about.
"This group" is black and POC players who just want to fill their sims worlds with a multitude of ethnicities and and have some of them ashy and not as nice as their lighter counterparts. The "group" that is more concerning to me is the one that is in opposition to people having better representation that suits them. Saying that this game can not represent everyone is literally a slap in the face really. The game already has very minimal hairstyles that are catered to Kinkier hair types. And you're saying thats okay and people should just go quietly? Heck no.
Whats "far more important" to you , may not be "far more important" to someone else. The point is, players are allowed to voice their concerns and speak about what they want from this game.
