Sims medieval redeem not working

whenever i try to redeem my code for the sims medieval. I can't fully enter the code because the code is
5*4 characters while on thesims3.com it's only 4*4 characters long. i also tried adding it on the ea app and thats where it told me to try and redeem it on thesims3 store
You need to register a game not redeem a code, if you register a game it will allow you to enter a 5*4 code.
