I celebrated the occasion with some chocolate cake for the Newbies and their daughter Brandi Broke and her family.

I've been playing since it was released. I had just bought my first computer and I wanted a game to go with it, and the Sims had just released at the same time, so I chose that one. I have been playing the games ever since.
Favourite Moment: There's too many! All my favourite moments are when I first discovered something in the game. Here's my top 10 that I can think of right now:- When I first played the Sims 1 game and made a cup of coffee in the Newbie kitchen for Betty and Bob while I was drinking my own coffee.
- When I first took my Sims on Vacation in Sims 1 and I can still remember the amazing music in that pack.
- When I upgraded to Sims 2 and experienced the big upgrade in graphics and watched the Newbie's daughter Brandi fry some breakfast eggs and I could see the steam coming off the pan and her hair looked so amazing.
- When I found Bella Goth walking around Strangetown. I thought she was abducted by aliens and gone forever. Tragic how she lost her memory though.
- When it rained or snowed for the first time in Sims 2 Seasons .
- When my first toy store in Sims 2 suddenly took off one day and customers were lining up and throwing their bags on the floor because I just couldn't get to them.
- When I saw the toddlers in Sims 4 and how cute they were.
- When I took my Sims to Batuu and gave them Star Wars light sabres.
- When I got chickens and a rooster for my Sim's backyard.
- When my Sim defeated the plant monster thing in Strangerville.
Best packs are:
Sims 1: Vacation and Making Magic.
Sims 2: Seasons, Open for Business, Bon Voyage, Pets, University, and Apartment Life.
Sims 4: Get to Work, Seasons, City Living, Island Living, Cottage Living, Star Wars, Vampires, Strangerville, Tiny Living, Nifty Knitting.- When I first played the Sims 1 game and made a cup of coffee in the Newbie kitchen for Betty and Bob while I was drinking my own coffee.

I started with Sims 1. I didn't know what it was until my ex-best friend bought it for their i-mac and actually thought it was really a big dollhouse when I read the back of it. Oh, how wrong I was because we stayed up the entire night playing. So I asked my parents for the game. It was so much fun as we made swimming pools where the sims had to swim everywhere. Then when they announced Sims2 and saw that they had genetics for the family. Also playing the legacy challenge in Sims2. Also getting my male sims alien abducted to have alien babies. Sims3 and the open world and of course create-a-sim and the color wheel. Sometimes, they shouldn't let me loose on the sims with the color wheel. Sims4-pretty scenery and the toddlers are cute.
Best packs
Sims1: Hot Date and Making Magic
Sims2: All and plus the stuff packs
Sims3: All and stuff packs. Awesome store
Sims4: Haven't bought any new packs for a couple of years.
Favorite moments:
* Sims1-playing footies under the table at a date.
* Sims2: Seeing the alien abduction cutscene.
* Sims3: Hearing my sim laugh for the first time at something.
* Sims4: Finally getting toddlers in the game. Also realizing it's okay to not play for awhile. - DarkLady2788Rising NewcomerHappy 22nd Birthday to The Sims!!
Well this makes me feel old ? I have been playing since the year 2000 and it was one of my friends that got me hooked to the sims base game. From there I bought every Ep coz I loved it so much. Then followed the franchise all the way buying every EP,SP,GP and now all the kits . I’m 33 and got diagnosed with MS last year a week before my birthday and the sims have gotten me through a lot. The sims got me through my parents splitting up. The sims 2 got me through my high school years with my friends. The sims 3 got me through my college days and hangover days ? and the sims 4 is still going strong with me and my friends ? - I've played Sims 1 and 2 from 2004 to 2008 or 2009. Then I got bored and I stopped.
I've played Sims 4 starting in March 2021.
So I'm only like 5 or 6 years in sims. My favorites are 1 and 4. - LiELFSeasoned AceI started playing during Sims 2's reign just after Nightlife came out. That was my favorite expansion until Sims 4 released Vampires. That pack remains my all-time favorite to this day. Vampires are just so cool to play and they have a bit of a dark edge that beckons me. I love every little bit about that pack from the grungy Victorian b/b to the gothy Victorian clothing to the creepy little town of Forgotten Hollow to the amazing animations. Plus, it brought in a new, iconic NPC. Vlad. It's perfect. <3

My favorite moment was when the first Sims I created in TS2 had a toddler and they thought her how to walk. Cutest animation ever! - MidnightAura86New SpectatorHappy Birthday to the sims!
I started playing at launch of the Original Sims. I got the game for my birthday on the 7th Feb and I was obsessed the game. And thus my Sim obsession began! - Happy 22nd Birthday Sims. My favourite Sims memory was in The Sims 3, when a Sim I was playing as got married to his partner (Before I had problems when it came to Sims relationships, to the point I had to abandon the first attempt on a Legacy because my Sims were being paired up with Babysitters). Even funnier was the fact they got married in front of the mail woman! Sadly, I lost the Save, but several of the screenshots are all that remains
