@waterb0ttles , let's try this first and see if it solves the problem. I'm not sure if the Sims 2 folder has any CC/Mods in it, but we'll go ahead and set the game back to a vanilla state. Locate your Sims 2 folder (found Documents > EA Games > Sims 2) and move the folder to your Desktop. Do not copy and paste or create a shortcut, actually move the folder to your Desktop. Next, start up your game and see if it will play ok.
Please let me know if you can play after do this. If the game does start up, play for about a hour and make sure it seems to run ok.

@waterb0ttles , ok sounds like you need to uninstall and reinstall the game. Make sure that you have the 4GB patch since the disks will no longer automatically update, Graphics Rule Maker to add your graphics card information to the game and turn off your firewall.
If you need any help installing the game, again please respond and we'll get it all sorted. 🙂

@waterb0ttles , you will need to uninstall the game first. You should be able to do that normally through Windows. Once that is done, make sure you find and download the 4GB patch for the game and Graphics Rule Maker. You should be able to do a Google search to find both of those fairly easily.
Let me know when you have done these few steps and then we'll get you back to installing the game. 🙂
