Writers' Lounge - For All Games!

Hi everyone! I was Morningstar on the old forums. Anyone who was active like 5 years ago may remember me but I was really only here on and off for a few years, then took a 4 year hiatus and returned a couple weeks ago to find the forums were decommissioned... Based on how the new forums work, I'm not sure if this Writer's Lounge will be revived or if we'll just find each other elsewhere, but I wanted to post here in case anyone I met back then is around.

I'm going to try to revive my Rebuilding Appaloosa Plains story (& Build A City Challenge, once I catch up on the story chapters I've already done the gameplay for).

If anyone is curious where I've been, the short version is that the pandemic brought a lot of craziness, we were doing home renovations, ended up selling it and moving halfway across Canada to the east coast, our dogs (my "first babies") passed away, we rescued another dog, we got married at our new home (very fun but very hectic to host over 130 people here not long after moving), went to Europe for 3.5 months with our rescue dog, and are about to start our first renovation for this house. Most of my husband's family lives on the property with us and this upcoming renovation will be so my grandmother can live here as well, after suffering a bad fall earlier this year. In other words, it has been a very busy and exhausting 4 years since you last heard from me! Back when I first joined this lounge, I was looking for some reprieve from my Master's degree (which I unfortunately was unable to finish due to the pandemic causing a lot of admin & mental health issues). I suppose now I'm returning to the story in need of reprieve from our renovation that begins on Monday 😅
