Having the same issue too with the catwalk hobby. My sim is stuck there cos there's no icon to tap on above its head. 

Yes, mine is stuck at the catwalk also. Yesterday it did on the stables but it got fixed on itself. Now I've tried everything and nothing works... It's so frustrating cause I had to use my social points for tasks... Argh... 

Toddy  i had an update. But after this update i have 1 character in a freeze. She is ready after a hobby but she will not move of do anything else. Is this a problem i can solve myself? And how? 

I am having the exact same issue. It’s quite annoying not being able to utilize my character, especially after an update. 

I have that issue with two of my sims too. Even reinstalling the app hasn’t worked.

 Mines  is literally stuck doing the same thing, the icon is blinking blue for done but there’s no bubble above her head to clear it out and she’s just waving on the stage, it’s literally been a day and a half 

I am having the same issue on catwalk hobby. I can’t send sim to work. I waited overnight, it’s still not working. Have force closed and restarted

After the new update I had several Sims not get credit for doing their hobbies. I have Sim stuck in his hobby. I’m unable to close out the hobby or move the Sim. Can this be fixed?

One of my sims is frozen and struck doing Strut Your Stuff for the CatWalk Modeling Hobby.

It sounds like the freezing you're experiencing might be related to this: Sunset Mall - Unable to interact with ground floor activities

The team is investigating this currently, and I've merged your conversation with the main thread for this topic, where we'll provide an update when we have more details.

In the meantime, a fellow player has found a workaround for those stuck after/during the Catwalk hobby: 

1. In the mall, rotate the camera until you're behind the Sim that's stuck
2. Zoom in as much as possible
3. Tap directly on the Sim's head, lower back, or feet
