Sims Freeplay download error

I have a new Samsung Galaxy Note 3, and tried downloading Sims Freeplay to it. First I get a message that asks if I want to use wifi or 3g. When I choose wifi I get an error message that tells me: ...

    We have recently experienced some problems with our servers that will have prevented some of our players from accessing our games and show the following error code: Server Error 500

     

    We have since corrected the root problem causing this error to appear. If you have been affected by this issue, please try force closing your game and re-open it. This should allow your game to establish a fresh connection to the servers.

    I have the same problem but it says server error (-17) I also have a samsung 10.1 galaxy note 2014 edition.
