I actually !like the community garden tho. And if I need the Sims for something else I just move them around. I only ever planted seeds if it was a task in a challenge otherwise. They do conduct player surveys every so often and ask for suggestions so for all we know more players like the updates than don't and some of the updates are the result of player suggestions.

Agree. I’m working with it and making Simoleons as I always did, but it’s just not fun anymore. I now have ten Sims who are more like NPCs. They don’t go home (basically giving me ten more empty houses) or do hobbies or jobs/professions. They just stay at the market and plant 24/7 (when I have time to get to them). If I wanted to play a farming game I would have picked something else. I will finish the Sims Springs I’ve been working on because I bought the boost but then I’ll probably pack it in. And not because of this one thing. I’ve been playing for over ten years and this is just one more instance where the devs do what they want regardless of how their very loyal fan base feels about it (i.e. Influence Island, which almost everyone hates), ignoring suggestions that actually make sense to those of us who play the game. And if you run into one of the many technical issues or in-game glitches you get such a run around from EA support, I’ve just had enough. Too bad because the new lighting has been beautiful in my game.
