Unable to play offline due to kits purchase on Marketplace working as intended?

I recently took advantage of the Marketplace sale on kits and purchased my first moola to purchase a few of those kits. As someone who plays modded, on patch days I tend to play offline until most of my mods are updated in order to not break anything in my saves. I just attempted to load my save up and it's telling me I'm missing those Marketplace kits now and recommends not to load the save. 

I was already disappointed that the EA app doesn't recognize that I've purchased these kits due to purchasing through the Marketplace but now I also can't play offline for a couple of days after a patch. Is this intended or is there a way around this?
