I have had the same issue. I'll start the event, it'll BE actively going and the time will be ticking down while I'm watching the Sim. If I go to my other Sim though, or if I even just go back to my Home screen and leave the app running in the background, it'll just stop counting down the time for some reason. I'm assuming that isn't normal, right?

How often does the bug occur? 90% of the time I am not actively watching the character with the phone unlocked.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Send the two Sims to work their respective professions. Let it finish on its own time with the phone locked. Or just focus on one and the other will never count down.
What do you expect to see? I'm assuming the event is supposed to finish after the stated time.

Is your app fully updated?
- Anonymous8 years agoYes.
Everything is completely up to date.
This has been happening since I first started playing the game, which wasn't even a week ago.
I'll put my Sims on long shifts (6-7 hours), go to bed, wake up 9 hours later, and one or both of them won't be finished. It'll still have 90% of the time left to go.
One additional curious thing: the time appears to reset even despite any notifications they were finished. I woke up this morning after sending both my Sims on jobs, saw a notification that Anthony was finished, but his was the one that hadn't. So even the game thinks it's finished when it really isn't.
