Divorce then marriage

Both of my playable sims are married, but I've decided that I want my sims to marry each other. How would I go about doing this? Would I first have to divorce each of my sims from their partner and then start a romantic story with my second playable sim? Will my two playable sims even be able to marry each other?

thanks(:

  • I have 2 kids with my spouse. Would my kid not have a good upbringing if I were to get a divorce? Would my kid still stay in my house? What if I were to have kids with my second playable sim?(who I'm planing on marrying) would my kid with them interact well witg my other kids from my previous relationship?

  • If your Sims are married, I'm not 100% sure they need to divorce. But you can achieve a divorce by doing some mean actions between these Sims.

You can always have another romantic story next to the current one. Your playable Sims sound be able to get married.
If you still take care of the little pink events that pop up for the kids they should just grow up all happy and with a good upbringing.

You kids will still be in your house, you can have kids interact with each other and they should get labelled as 'half-brother/sister'.
Which would mean they can't have a romantic relationship.

Thanks for the reply. Why wouldn't I want my sims to get a divorce though? If I didnt make them get a divorce then I would have 2 spouses and I dont want that.
