Error - soulmate can't get engaged/have babies

My sim has a soulmate who she isn't engaged to, and with the update changing the whole energy system, despite having a full relationship bar, they can't get engaged. The propose marriage option simply...

    Or is this actually because my couple are of the same sex, so the game says they can't have a baby?

Hi @EloquentMyDear,

You should be able to propose as long as you have level 8 or above, which is your case. So let's try to find out which is the problem: is this Sim part of your household, a neighbor or another player's Sim?

    The sim that I'm trying to propose to is a non-user neighbour.

      An update for the game was released yesterday, could you install it and try to engage your Sims again with the new version?

        They now successfully got engaged and married, BUT they still cannot have a baby as it "requires true love".
