No Events Today?

Question

This isn't about the update, but the community events that happen in the game.

Under the events tab I can't start any events, the nearest one is 15 hours away. I haven't completed an event yet today for my To Do List. I'm not exactly sure when it restarts but I won't be playing at 3 am so I'll likely miss out on my daily cupcake. :(

Haven't encountered this before. Is it a bug?

Any suggestions?

The events are back. I noticed whenever they have a new update the events stop for 24hrs

I was in the middle of a ‘special event’ and finished it right when the asos thing started and I lost all the credit for the event. Bummer snce it was almost 7 hrs!
